How it works

The idea here couldn't be more simple.  If you are an expert, please help others.  If you are not, please feel free to reach out to one for help.

Tools are more difficult, costly and sometimes require maintenance, insurance, blades or general upkeep to remain in working order.  For this reason, we will ask for a small fee for the shop owner.  This fee is to be generated by each shop owner with a 5% service fee to be paid to the woodshop share.  This helps to pay for the site upkeep, maintenance, and security of the transactions.  

We WILL discourage in-person deals.  We want to build the community and offer a place for us all to meet. Our service as a site and low fee should hopefully encourage more people to use this service and expand our reach.  But should never stand in the way of the growth of the woodworking community.

We encourage our shop owners to set an hourly rate but specific projects will call for specific needs and tooling.  This is why we are confident that our community will work with each other to keep costs reasonable and affordable.
